HOTJET WX ground-to-water – stable output all year round
Underground temperatures are constant. While an air-source heat pump has to work harder in freezing weather, the WX ground-to-water has a constant heat source – delivering higher COP and lower running costs.
Copeland inverter, Siemens control, passive and active cooling. Energy class A+++.
Why ground-to-water
- Stable output – independent of weather, heats the same in January as in March
- Higher COP than air-to-water – the source stays at a constant 8–12 °C
- Quiet operation – no fan, no outdoor unit
- Free passive cooling – in summer, use the ground’s natural cool directly, without the compressor
- 38–40 dB – virtually inaudible
Two types of ground source
- Horizontal collector – pipes at 1.2–1.5 m depth, requires sufficient plot area (approx. 2× the heated floor area)
- Vertical borehole – 50–150 m deep, smaller plot, higher investment, hydrogeological survey required
